Time to check yourself in for a break!
The AA’s Irish Hotel of the Year has been announced this week and from the looks of it, we wouldn’t mind taking a few days off for a break!
The five-star Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa in Co. Wicklow has won top honours, with General Manager David Webster receiving the award from Michael Ring, Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, on Wednesday night.
The five-star hotel won top prize.
The hotel came top thanks to their outstanding service, hospitality, cuisine, staff and facilities.
There were other winners on the night including The Red Door Country House in Donegal who scooped Guest Accommodation of the Year, while The Lodge at Castle Leslie in Monaghan won the Courtesy and Care award.
Elsewhere, Faithlegg House Hotel in Waterford scooped the prize for Delicious Dish of the Year while Niamh O’Shaughnessy was crowned Foodie of the Year.
Well done guys!
