I am just back from the most chilled out weekend ever, it was so nice to have nothing on for once, I feel like Ive caught up on all of my sleep!
Does anybody else have this never ending cold? I have had the worst cold that began as a chest infection and is constantly lurking its ugly head. My week didn’t start very well because I was sick again on Monday but after a lot of painkillers, vitamins and some sleep I felt much better. I went for dinner on Monday evening which was fun, I love London for the random nights. I have lots of friends in London so I always have someone to hang out with, I don’t like spending too much time on my own. I never have but I always have people telling me that you’re meant to spend time on your own and thats its good for you. I have spent plenty of time on my own and I think spending time with other people is good for you!
I flew back to Dublin on Wednesday for work, Im really enjoying my trips back home at the moment so I couldn’t wait to get back. I was filming for a new show on Wednesday night which was loads of fun, I cant say too much but the show is going to be great the presenter is hilarious. I wore an outfit from Spotted on Celeb which I loved.
On Thursday I had a shoot for the cover of an Irish magazine thats out next month. I was working with my cousin Rebecca Todd who did my make up. Rebecca is a great make up artist and it was lovely to get to work with my family! The fabulous Lily Forberg was taking the shots, I have worked with Lily a lot over the years and I love her work. I loved the whole team so I really cant wait to see the pictures.
I went to see The Commitments in the Bord Gais theatre in Dublin on Thursday with my aunt Naomi. The show was great and I love the theatre I would definitely recommend going to see this if you liked the movie.
I had the best weekend Ive had in a long time! I booked to go down the Powerscourt hotel months ago to have a couple of days off. I went down with my aunt and sister and it was so nice to have the weekend totally off. I usually have some kind of work to do everyday but I totally switched off for two days. I really felt like I needed the days off because Ive been working pretty constantly lately, I feel like a new person after it. Powerscourt is my favourite hotel in Ireland. Its so beautiful and the grounds are amazing. Everyday we went walking, visited the amazing waterfall and ate so much food. We had to hit up the spa down there too, they have such a cool spa, I had a massage and then chilled in the pool. Im going to be holding my retreats down there once I have them booked in, its the perfect venue for them. They have a really good gym down there too so I ate loads of food and then trained hard each day so I got the perfect balance, well sort of, my training gear is from Littlewoods online.
I posted a video a few weeks ago showing a make up look that I did with my friend Ashley O’Rourke. Ashley is my go to make up artist, I love her work and wanted to show all of you how to create different looks. This video is about creating a natural make up look and one that you would wear more in an everyday basis. Ive actually watched it loads of times myself because even though I learn a lot off Ashley I still want to know more!
I have used the balm Mary Lou Luminzor for years but have just started using their eyeshadow palettes recently. The packaging is the cutest thing ever but the eyeshadows are so good. I usually don’t use half of the colours in the palettes but I use every single shadow in this palette. Its great for a day look and then has even better colours for an evening look. Its my new must have piece in my make up collection!
