What is a cookie?

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your personal computer, mobile or other device when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognises that cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user's device.

Persistent cookies - these cookies remain on a user's device for the period of time specified in the cookie. They are activated each time that the user visits the website that created that particular cookie.

Session cookies - these cookies allow website operators to link the actions of a user during a browser session. A browser session starts when a user opens the browser window and finishes when they close the browser window. Session cookies are created temporarily. Once you close the browser, all session cookies are deleted.

Cookies do lots of different jobs, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improve the user experience. They can also help to ensure that adverts you see online are more relevant to you and your interests.

You can find more information about cookies at www.allaboutcookies.org and www.youronlinechoices.eu.

Meeting & Events

Gather your best and brightest at our inspiring conference centre

For meetings of minds and gatherings of friends...

At Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa we set out to provide the same level of hospitality and welcome at conferences, seminars, weddings and events, as we do for our leisure guests.  We believe that, whether an event is work or play, it should be an occasion.  That's why we focus on every detail to ensure each guest experiences the excitement and awe that only occurs at a genuinely special event.

Here you'll find state-of-the-art, purpose-built Resort facilities in a stunning location, which set a new benchmark in event excellence. Our dedicated Meetings and Special Events team have a wealth of experience and are at hand every step of the way to create your perfect, tailor-made occasion.  And although peacefully secluded on the magnificent Powerscourt Estate, with glorious scenery all around, it's still just 30 minutes from Dublin City Centre and its Airport too.

Business Events

Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa has more than 1,111sq. metres/12,030 sq. feet of meeting and conference space.  This can be arranged to suit the needs of your specific seminar, conference, press launch or exhibition.  The business centre offers a total of 10 meeting rooms, which can be used as break out rooms at conferences.

The conference area has its own private entrance, and complimentary high-speed 60MB Wifi is available throughout the hotel.

Celebrations

For an event to be truly special, it must be planned specifically around you and your vision.  That's why our Events Planner's first step is to listen to what you have in mind.  We can then use our experience, our facilities and the magic of our surroundings to creat an impressive, unforgettable experience.

The Secret Garden

As its name suggests, the Secret Garden at Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa is a magical hideaway where private functions, weddings and parties can be enjoyed beneath the sky, in a unique, Palladian garden with box hedges and elegant balustrades.
